Ian Huyton - Home
Welcome to ianhuyton.com The site aims to be a collection of photos, news and information from my experiences working as a ski instructor. At present I am teaching in Arinsal, Andorra, and I have also taught skiing in Scotland (Nevis Range) and New Zealand (Mt Ruapehu). The pages are aimed at customers, colleagues and ski buddies past and present, and at anyone with an interest in skiing, ski teaching, or visiting Andorra. I am a BASI qualified Alpine Ski Teacher (ISIA) and have been teaching skiing since Christmas 2004. Personally I can't think of any other job I'd rather be doing, it's just a pity that winters are not longer. On these pages you can browse my photo galleries, read my thoughts on various ski areas, access links to other ski/snow pages, and find out more about me (should you want to). Look around and let me know what you think. If you are in Arinsal this winter, look me up or drop me a line. Take care, |
Latest Blog Entry: Back in Arinsal, and it's snowing I'm back in Arinsal at last and watching the first big snowfall of the season through the window. It has been snowing all day and all night, so the skiing tomorrow should be pretty good. I didn't get to go up the mountain today as I had to go into town to complete the immigration medical. You may have noticed the site being down for some time recently. This was due to a hacking attack on the hosting company. Extra security measures have now been put in place (and unfortunately one of those measures broke the site leaving it down for even longer). So, I apologise, but I am now back. On the subject of the website, I have been making a few tweaks. I have included headlines from my regular blog, http://winterwonderings.blogspot.com as I tend to post there a bit more regularly than I do here. Now I am back in town there should be a few more changes on the way, so watch this space. Latest posts on my Winter Wonderings blog |
