Nevis Range, Scotland
General
Nevis Range is one of five comercial ski areas operating in Scotland. Although most people tend to think of small hills and bad weather when they think of Scotland, there are runs at these areas to compete with anywhere in the world. There are many advantages to skiing in Scotland over going abroad - cost, friendly locals who speak English, decent beer, same money, same mobile networks. Obviously this is still Scotland though, so check the weather forcast (and snow conditions) before you go.

Skiing
The skiing is on the mountain Aonach Mor, one of Scotland's 4000ft peaks, with fantastic views across to Ben Nevis. The runs can be roughly divided into the front and back of the mountain. The front is dominated by the steep reds of The Goose and Warrens, whilst the back is expert terrain with a series of blacks and off-piste descents to challenge any skier, but watch out for ice climbers ascending with axes and crampons (seriously)
